365 challenge -- multiples {190}

Today's theme ... multiples. Today we saw thousands of elk at the national elk refuge.  I loved the way the elk were lined up in this shot.

  2. Cindy - I think we are in the same neck of the woods. We had planned a day trip to the Elk Refuge in Jackson last month but the weather was not good for driving. Looks like your day was beautiful!! Did you go on the sleigh ride?

  6. They are impressive looking animals, and to see them in the 1000's would be incredible.

  7. Those horns look lethal! I hope you shot this from a safe distance, or inside an armor car! Do they bring them food, or is the refuge set up so that they can find a place to graze?

  10. @Bobbi...this was taken at the Alpine Refuge. We spent four days in Jackson and we took this on the way to Jackson. We did not go on a sleigh ride as the elk were right at the road behind the refuge and we had a great time without going on the sleigh ride.

    (I am in Northern Utah by the way...where are you?)
