365 challenge -- cold {54}

Today's theme ... cold. I almost didn't get a shot of this six foot icicle, my husband complained about how cold his hands were as I ran to grab the camera.  This icicle forms on the northwest corner of our house every winter.  This one was fairly small compared to most winters.

365 challenge -- passion {116}

Today's theme ... passion. If you haven't noticed I have a passion for wildlife and nature.  I love capturing wild animals and birds.  Today's picture was taken a week or so ago before yet another big snow storm.  The eagles will migrate north soon and I will have to wait for the fall/winter again before I see them again.

365 challenge -- green {132}

Today's theme ... green.  Today's theme should really be signs of spring!  With 24 inches of snow still on the lawn I was surprised to see the tulips poking through.  Luckily the snow has started to melt off the flower beds so the tulips and daffodils will get the much needed sun to grow.

365 challenge -- hawk {f3}

3Today's theme ... hawk. This red tailed hawk has been around the yard the past few weeks.  Today it was perched upon top of a pine tree admiring the 12 inches of fresh snow we were shoveling.

365 challenge -- snack or treat {275}

Today's theme ... snack or treat.  With all the snow we've had lately my husband has kept the bird feeder full of snacks for the little birds. I believe this is a house finch or a purple house finch.
